President/CEO - Lisa M. Tanous
Lisa Tanous, our founder, is a mother to four and grandmother to three. With over 25 years of experience in legal, financial and nonprofit fields, she brings a unique blend of legal & financial acumen to the table. She founded the nonprofit to assist those who are in need just as she was as a teen mother. Her hobbies include traveling, kayaking, hiking, biking and thrifting.
Vice President - Lisa Grottenthaler
Lisa Grottenthaler grew up all over the world prior to her family settling down in Virginia. Lisa was a single teen mother who learned the importance of coparenting by having her child’s father in her life giving their child more stability, support and love. Lisa was fortunate to have great mentors in her life to teach and guide her. That support is what led her to become a part of the Young Parent Foundation. Lisa enjoys travel, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Treasurer - Darlene Mills
Darlene Mills is a native of South Carolina who raised her family in the Tampa area. She is a mother to three and grandmother to 7. Darlene is a CPA with over 25 years experience specializing in not for profit companies. She has obtained perfect audits with no adjustments. She loves to explore and travel as well as trying new restaurants and thrifting.
Robert Costanza - Director/Head of Mentoring Programs
Robert Costanza, a native New Yorker and father of two, raised his family in Northern Virginia. Robert "Bob" worked as a therapist for over twenty (20) years with a focus on adolescents and young adults. He brings great experience and leads our mentoring and skills training programs for young fathers. Bob's hobbies include running, biking, hiking and just being outdoors.
Leesa Sullivan - Secretary
Leesa Sullivan studied English and Business at WVU and ran a successful family owned store for many years. She is a mother to four who enjoys volunteering in her community, biking, hiking, live music, kayaking as well as coaching youth sports and personal development. She is a lifelong learner, currently studying nutrition and wellness in order to serve her community better.
